Embeding...

I believe that it is wrong to embed journalists in the war. I mean they have no means of defense and all the do is record the war. They could just get those clip-on camers if they really want to record the war. And i also think that its not appropriate to even show videos about the war. I think its disrespectful and not nice for the men that died.

Journalism...

I believe that journalism is not too detached from overall society. I mean, most things that people read nowadays have to do in some way with journalism. Be it the internet or the newspaper or the news on the television. Most people have seen some type of journalism.
The news need journalists so they can get the good juciy storys for their air on television. Also the newspaper is full of journalists. they get into the action to find out all about their articles to find out if all the facts are true. Also the internet is full of journalists. all the websites like yahoo and TMZ and stuff like are full of them. they sometimes might not speak the truth though.

Privacy...

I believe that privacy is very important. Privacy is important in everyday life. If there was no privacy than our world would be chaos. there would be people stealing identities left and right. There would be crimes up and down and every ally. It would be horribly horrific.

koran burning...

I believe that Terry Jones can do whatever he likes. It may not be the best decision, but it might mess him up in the long, and he will know why. I mean if he wants to burn the Korans than he can go right ahead and do it, but he just better not get all worked up if and when other people burn the holy bible.

I believe that the only reason that he was even planning on burning the Koran was to get attention to his church and more importantly, to himself. And I also believe that the press should not have went along with this guys charade, I don't even think that he would have went through with it, even if the press did not make him public.

Hard News...

There are many things that you must remember whilst writing a hard news story. One of those include using correct and true facts, other than opinionated facts made up by the reporter. It is Imperative that you use true facts because then, when the story is printed, you could anger people if the facts weren't true. Oh and you could lose your job.

Also another thing you should keep in mind while writing a hard news story is to write the most important things in the beginning so you get readers hooked on your story and to leave the less important stuff for the end or better yet, take it out. I mean, nobody wants to read a story about how "the house was blue" or " the victim was wearing plaid" the people want to read that "The gigantic blue house burnt down to the ground in ashes" and "A man got shot with sixteen bullets while wearing a plaid shirt."

Remember these things and you will be the best hard news writer ever!

If I Were the Editor...

If I were the editor for the school paper than I would put the main articles on the first page and near the beginning while leaving the least interesting/ less important articles closer to the back. Also I would add sections to the paper, like entertainment, world news, sports and stuff like that.

Conflict of Reason

I think that I am most likely to do the conflict of reason. I think so because I would rather interview friends than to interview random people or people i hate.
