Jail...
I believe that if we were writing in a newspaper at the time of this standoff, then i would listen to the states request and not let any information of this standoff get out to the public. i believe this because i would not want the people of that state to be paranoid of jail prisoners escaping, because that's not what happened, but people would take it that way. Also I would probably get in trouble with that state and maybe be suspended from the paper, which would be bad.

Comm Ethics...
communication ethics come up in the news a lot. Like how the news channels can't false advertise, and they can not lie about someone or a story. Also right and wrong come into play here also, like how your allowed to cuss on the news, but it would be best if you did not. Oh and it is also not right to exaggerate about something, even if it makes the topic better.

american eating...
I believe that a lot of Americans are obese. i mean, with all their McDonald's and taco bells. Once in a while some people eat fast food, but obese people eat it all the time. And they never exercises or even try to get skinnier. So I believe that America should promote eating healthy and exercising more than they do now. There are certain television channels that stop for a day for people to go outside, but you could just change the channel. And we shouldn't go as far as to stop all TV, because some people enjoy it, but there should at least be some way to reach out to helping out with obesity.

Test flight...
I do not think that the test flight is newsworthy. I believe so because it only went in space for a little bit, and then just glided down in 11 minutes. Also i don't beleive anyone would care about it, it would just be extra newspaper for next years crab feast or something like that. And i do not think that anyone would want to sped that much on going to somewhere that you can see from anywhere. And i know that it would be used for transportation, but i don't believe someone would paythat much more just to get to somewhere a couple hours before they would from regular flight.

what if you don't tell them...
I do not believe that it is ethical to tape a source without telling them. I believe so because they might say something to you that they may not want to be recorded. Also it could not be good for the source because he might say something insulting towards a certain group of people and not want people to know what he said. for example, if you were interviewing the person(source), they would think its a private interview, but in actuality you were recording them. And so later on when the tape goes on the air, the source would most likely be very angry with the interviewer.

lack of free press...
I believe that other countries lack free press because they do not have a well organized government. Depending on the person reading, he might have a negative attitude towards the article and might want to kill the man if the article is negative about him.
social networking...
I believe that social networking has revolutionized many things. One thing that it has revolutionized is communication. A lot of people nowadays communicate using social networks including twitter, Facebook, myspace, etc. If you live away from someone that you would like to communicate like a relative or friend in a different state. All you have to do is sign in and use the chat client on that website to talk to them.
Social networking has revolutionized making friends. I mean, you might be "friends" with your actual friends friend on facebook, but it doesn't mean that you are actually friends. Social networks can help you meet people in real life. Like some one's status might be "going to the movies" and you could respond and say "I'll meet you there" and then you can make friends. Just make sure you go with someone who knows that person so it not a complete stranger.
It has also revolutionized news in some ways. Maby you're following a group of something and they post a lot of info. on that subject, that's a big way to learn about some news that you want to hear about. Also you could find out what your friend is doing just by checking their status.
One last thing that social networks have revolutionized is Business. Someones status could be "looking for a job interview." And if a person has a Job opening in their job, they could ask them if they could come in for an interview.
